Space Sleep Capsule
A proposed space sleep capsule combines a coral-inspired pneumatic device with scent and ambient light. Designed by an interdisciplinary team, it aims to create a more comfortable sleeping environment for astronauts and strengthen their connection to Earth through scents associated with terrestrial locations.

A sensory environment for sleep
The design brings a coral-inspired pneumatic device together with scent and ambient lighting. It proposes intelligent adjustment of the capsule’s internal smell and light as part of the relationship between the occupant and the cabin. By mapping scent changes to locations on Earth, the concept seeks to support a sense of connection with the planet while addressing comfort in a space sleeping environment.

Interdisciplinary collaboration
Created in the 2022 International Art & Design Interdisciplinary Workshop, the project brought together teammates with backgrounds in mechanics, pharmacy, psychology, environmental design and smart connectivity. I worked as a core member of the team, contributing to the design of the biomimetic pneumatic sleep capsule.
