The digital experience design for the new Sanxingdui Museum’s digital hall centres on a dome 20 metres in diameter. The design aims to create an immersive visual symphony within this enveloping space.

Hearing materials and making

The soundscape is designed to evoke the artefacts’ material qualities and casting processes. Musical sounds generated through physical-collision simulation are combined with a full surround-audio system, offering visitors multiple ways to perceive the ancient objects’ craftsmanship and cultural context.
